Serena Santoni

Analyst

Serena Santoni is an Analyst at the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) at the University of Washington. In her role with Client Services, she leads strategic engagements with private sector partners to apply IHME health data in decision-making, product development, and long-term public health planning.

Her work focuses on global health surveillance, disease modeling, and health outcome simulation across a range of therapeutic areas, including cardiovascular disease, respiratory conditions, and metabolic disorders. She is the lead author of a peer-reviewed publication from the Strong Heart Study, examining cardiometabolic risk in American Indian communities, and has contributed to data-driven strategies for COVID-19 vaccine development.

Prior to IHME, she was a Data Scientist at Fair Trade USA, where she directed the development of an Enterprise Data Warehouse and led analytic solutions for global supply chain transparency.

Serena holds a Master of Science in Epidemiology from the University of Washington and a BA in International Studies – Economics from the University of California, San Diego.
